Icon of Jesus Christ Pantocrator
A work of particular sculptural solemnity, in which the rigors of iconographic composition are intertwined with a skilled execution and workshop details. The classical representation of Jesus Christ Pantocrator dominates the center of the composition, in a frontal portrait of perfectly balanced symmetry. The face, hand-painted in oil, preserves the canonical Byzantine lines, with a gentle expression and a frontal gaze — calm but penetrating.
The halo is made of gold-plated copper and adorned with individually set Bohemian crystals—accents that add depth, contrast, and an aura of visual sophistication. The highly detailed engraved background is made of silver-plated copper, in a discreet floral decorative register that does not compete with the central figure, but visually supports it.
The frame is made of natural oak wood, with warm tones and decorative metal inserts in the corners, which repeat the engraved motifs of the icon. The entire piece is protected under flat glass, ennobling the work with a sober presentation, worthy of display in collection spaces or museum-style interiors.
