This crucifix reinterprets the tradition of crucifixion through a bold juxtaposition of classical figurative and the organic texture of the wood represented—not idealized, but rendered with raw fidelity, like tree bark. The arms of the cross are marked by the relief of the bark in patinated copper, symbolizing the tree of life and the suffering assumed in the matter of creation itself.

The body of the Savior is rendered by electroforming, with pronounced anatomical details and intensely dramatized facial expression. The silvered surfaces present a subtle play of gloss and oxidation, which deepens the expressiveness of the form and gives the crucifix a sculptural dignity rarely found in mass-produced liturgical artifacts.

The metal elements are mounted on a dark oak cross, in which geometric rigor and the memory of living wood intertwine. This piece transcends its devotional role, becoming a sculptural presence in sacred or private space — a testimony of suffering, but also of the permanence of faith.
